Czarevich Egg    (1912)

This egg, given by Czar Nicholas II to his wife, displays her initials along with an imperial crown.  The egg features various motifs, including scrolls, shells and a crowned double-headed imperial eagle. It is carved from lapis-lazuli with shimmering flecks of gold in Louis XV style.

TBI's designers have patterned the inside of the egg with an authentic velvety red background and gold trellis overlay, in keeping with the originals, but without attempting to reproduce their wonderful suprise interiors
